Because everyone needs a helping hand...
You have the power to make a difference not only in your community, but across the globe. My name is Sarah Mayer and had the opportunity to spend time in the Krobo region of Ghana this past summer. I studied as a fellow and observed great hardship among the people, most especially the children. To name a few, there was no sufficient water supply, medical resources were scarse, and they were lacking in basic human necessities. These people opened up their homes to me and welcomed me with such warmth, kindness and respect. I hold the children, in particular, extremely close my heart. Upon my arrival home, I decided that my short time there wasn't enough. I needed to make a bigger impact. That is how Caring For Krobo came to be. This organization collects vital supplies and resources, as well as financial donations, to help the people of Krobo.
Successful Projects!
One of the most urgent issues in this region is the lack of clean water. This summer, I was able to raise enough money to build a borehole and providing the entire community with water for years to come.
Please help maintain the borehole:

One of the most magical aspects of childhood is play. Around 100 children had to share one soccer ball; play was a luxury in their eyes. Toys stimulate a child's mind and are crucial for development. Every child deserves to have toys, especially during the holiday season! That and it brings a smile to their faces.
For our next drive, we are focusing on the wonderful young women in the town. I noticed that many of the teen girls didn’t have access to bras, period products, makeup, dresses and other items that allow them to embrace their femininity and handle the very real struggles of being a woman. Additionally, many of these girls are young mothers, so any baby/pre natal care items would be extremely helpful. If you would be kind enough to donate anything to help these girls, it would mean the world to them. All clothing items will be washed thouroughly upon arrival.
